DSWD Christmas Party for Persons with Disability 2012

On Dec. 27, 2012 DSWD (Department of Social Welfare Development) Alfonso held a year end gift-giving event for persons with disability (PWD). As usual dedicated Gina of DSWD Alfonso coordinated the event with her staff and the mayor with needy persons with disabilities being chosen from each barangay (“village”), supported by barangay volunteers. AWH, as a DSWD certified charitable organization, made a monetary donation to provide gifts for PWD. Additionally the municipality of Alfonso provided 5 wheel chairs, bags of rice, the band and other needy items to make the event meaningful for everyone. The theme of caring with love made it heartwarming and was shared with the mayor, the vice mayor, the councilors, DSWD and AWH members.
