Eight AWH guests voluntarily joined the tour to visit Home for the 100th sheep in Dasmarinas, Cavite which support education and livelihood of the resettled street families from Manila.
AWH and the guests provided sacks of rice, snacks, juice, clothes, commodity items and school supplies to them.
Rotary International Multi-national Manila (RIMM) conducted a family planning seminar as per our experience last November in 2013. About 30 desperate women joined and were listening what contraceptive options and assistances were available in their area.
RIMM offered monetary assistance for those who volunteer to have ligation. Contraceptive pills were supposed to be provided free by the municipality but we learned they had never been delivered to the area and people there have had to purchase on their own. The supervisor Bambi will coordinate with the barangay health workers and find out about supplies of the pills.
