Q2 Donation of AWH to DSWD Alfonso

AWH has been making monetary donations to DSWD (Department of Social Welfare Development) Alfonso, Cavite amounting to P60,000 annually since Q1 2010.

This time AWH endorsed Q2 donation of P15,000 to Gina of DSWD Alfonso.

Each time DSWD Alfonso submits AWH a report of spending of the previous quarter. 2019 Q1 report was submitted as per below:

Gina said that it has been great addition to what was allocated in the governmental budget for unpredictable situations to assist children & women in crisis.

2018 Home for the 100th Sheep Christmas Event

On December 18, 2018 as being yearly done so, Academy of World Healing Foundation (AWH) attended the Christmas play of “Home for the 100th Sheep” which operates and manages several free tuition pre-schools in Dasmarinas, Cavite. More than 80 day care children participated in their Christmas event.

AWH donated P10,000 to Kaloi and Edna who are married together and operate the organization, for the needs of the day care centers such as food materials and school supplies. AWH also brought firewood for the relocated street families from Manila, of which Home for the 100th Sheep also takes care.

Kaloi and Edna were very appreciative of the annual donation of AWH to their day care facilities and children.

Alfonso Day Event

On December 15, 2018 the Academy of World Healing Foundation (AWH) attended the Alfonso Skills Training with Job Assistance Under Sustainable Livelihood Program on Alfonso Day at its event center.

Engr. Tibayan of MENRO (Municipial Environment & Natural Resources Office) mentioned her office will coordinate with DSWD to find creative ways to turn trash in the garbage into cash for additional earnings of 4 P’s (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) members.

About 1,200 female members of the 4 P’s joined the event. AWH donated 25 bags of rice and P5,000 to the winner among the 4 P’s who deposited the most cash in their saving account derived from the recyclable trash sold to junk shops.

The municipality received a national budget of 3.4 million pesos for skills training which was announced at the event.

National Children’s Month Celebration

On November 26, 2018 the National Children’s Month celebration held by Alfonso DSWD (Department of Social Welfare Development) and municipality was attended by Academy of World Healing (AWH) members at the Alfonso event center.
About 600 selected indigent Grade 3 and 4 pupils from local elementary schools in Alfonso, Cavite attended the event. 72 out of 600 were PWD (persons with disabilities) pupils.
AWH donated P15,000 to DSWD to buy hygience kits for all of the participants.

2017 Home for the 100th Sheep Christmas Event

In the morning of December 20, 2017, AWH staff attended children’s Christmas event of the Home for the 100th Sheep in Dasmarinas, Cavite, a relocation camp of formerly homeless Manila families.

AWH, as it does every year, donated sacks of rice, canned goods, used children’s clothing donated by its guests from Japan, assorted school supplies and firewood.

M’aam Kimiyo read a message of gratitude to AWH written by the daycare children on a colorful poster. Likewise Kaloi and Edna, who lead Home for the 100th Sheep, were appreciative of the donations for their pupils.

LCPC Meeting in Poblacion II, Alfonso – Stop Sexual Abuse of Children

Gina of DSWD (Department of Social Welfare Development) Alfonso presided over the Local Council for Protection of Children (LCPC) meeting on January 30, 2017 at the Brgy. Hall of Poblacion II in Alfonso.

Gina recapped LCPC activities in 2016. She enumerated the rights of a child  and plans to do related activities. She also relayed about children who got into conflict with the law and about charitable institutions who shelters these children.

AWH representative Raymund Balicha announced during the meeting that in addition to quarterly funding of P15,000 to DSWD Alfonso, AWH is supporting on “Stop Sexual Abuse on Children” in conjunction with RIMM (Rotary International Multinational Manila) which will provide financial assistance of P10,000 per quarter starting this immediate quarter through Gina, DSWD Alfonso. The donation will be used specifically for sexually abused children matters. Gina will be submitting quarterly reports to AWH and RIMM on this issue.

Dr. Manzo noted AWH’s advocacy to End TB program also in conjunction with RIMM.

Gina was very grateful to RIMM for the quarterly financial support on sexually abused children. She said she will use part of the fund for the 5 year old rape victim.

Home for The 100th Sheep Graduation

On March 22, 2016, a DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) accredited foundation, Home for The 100th Sheep which operates and manages several pre-schools in Dasmarinas, Cavite with selected indigent children, held a graduation celebration at a courtyard in nearby vicinity.

AWH vice president Casey Takayama visited the event and congratulated all the children graduating. For the continuous and dedicating support of indigent families including resettled street families from Manila, AWH made a monetary donation to Home for The 100th Sheep Foundation.

Christmas Event with Home for The 100th Sheep

On December 18th, 2015, Home for The 100th Sheep, a DSWD (Department of Social Welfare Development) accredited organization which has helped over 200 resettled former street families from Manila, held a Christmas event for their children in Dasmarinas, Cavite.
AWH donated sacks of rice, quality used clothes from Japan and biscuits to the organization so they they would be distributed to the resettled families later and participated the event.

ALFONSO DAY EVENT 2015

On December 10, 2015 municipal yearly event of Alfonso day was held at the municipal basketball court. Three parts of programs catered for children, PWD (persons with disabilities) and indigents respectively.
The municipality of Alfonso including the mayor and councilors sponsored the event. DSWD prepared gifts and coordinated participants. Municipal health office conducted free dental checkups. Kiwanis Alfonso chapter assisted the programs. AWH financially assisted to provide gifts to PWD and donated quality used clothes which were originally donated by AWH’s guests from Japan.

Alfonso Women’s Month Celebration

March 24, 2015

The LCPC (Local Council of Protection of Children (, Women & Eldery)) of Alfonso held an event for national women’s month, attended by the Cavite provincial councilor, the municipal mayor, vice mayor, municipal councilors and some male barangay captains in lady’s costume.
AWH staff, DSWD Alfonso, a pastor and municipal health officer also attended as members of the LCPC.
